Recount

Recounting Psalm 9-10 in light of the cross

Rejoice, Glad Hearts, long for Eden,
Come walk with Him in the shade,
And worship the Perfect Adam,
Who threw the fruit far away,
Remember and recount,
Remember and recount,
Tell of His wonderful deeds.

No beginning, yet He was born,
He humbled Himself as Babe,
And breathed like the man He first formed,
A Second Adam to save,
Remember and recount,
Remember and recount,
Tell of His wonderful deeds.

Recount His works, His words, His life,
He was tempted, yet did not sin,
He lived to die and end the strife,
Then He rose to reign again,
Remember and recount,
Remember and recount,
Tell of His wonderful deeds.

Now He sits enthroned forever,
And knows our ev’ry struggle,
Jesus is our Mediator,
Who brings safety from trouble,
Remember and recount,
Remember and recount,
Tell of His wonderful deeds.

Rejoice, Glad Hearts, long for Eden,
Come walk with Him in the shade,
And worship the Perfect Adam,
Who threw the fruit far away.

Behind the lines

Psalm 9 and Psalm 10. Most likely Psalm 9 and 10 were one Psalm because together they form a single acrostic (notes from The Reformation Study Bible).
