The Unknown

image

Enter the unknown,
Blind, in a maze of broken mirrors,
And lose all control,
Deaf, but there’s a Hearer.
So cry out to Him,
For He knows something better,
And through the unknown,
His grace remains the answer.

Enter the unknown,
Walk, through a sandstorm in the desert,
Lost and forgotten,
Wait, to be delivered.
So hold on to Hope,
For He knows something better,
And through the unknown,
His grace remains the answer.

Behind the lines

As we enter the unknown of a new year, I’m reminded of God’s grace and providence in the story of Joseph and his brothers culminating in Genesis 50:19-21.

[19] But Joseph said to them, “Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? [20] As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. [21] So do not fear; I will provide for you and your little ones.” Thus he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.
