Sometimes I write for those I love,
But when I write to be with Christ,
It accomplishes the above and more.

Chosen a people for Your own,
You gave them a king to reign on the throne,
But there’s One Greater, and You reign forever.

Revealed Your will through Your Word,
You sent Your Son to be crowned with sorrow,
And our Redeemer, conquered death forever.

Trampled our sins under Your feet,
You drowned our burdens in a gracious sea,
You have made a way, to Your throne of praise.
